Thank you for such a wonderful shot...
Aww! So... cute!
I absolutely LOVE this photo! Awesome!
Awesome shot and gorgeous little bird.
Incredibly clear shot!
That is a beautiful shot
Pretty little chap. And how clear of focus this is! (on full view) Nice work!
Lovely capture, the colours really pop with the background.
A nice little fellow. Soon they will be much harder to spot, hidden among spring and summer leaves. Fantastic detail, by the way. What lens did you use?
Thanks, lens was canon 100-400 mm + 1,4 canon converter. Yes soon they are gone, lovely birds. This one didn´t fear me at all, he was about 4-5 m away from me.
I've never used a converter, but suppose it might be a good idea. Cheaper and more convenient than buying a new tele-lens. Any recommendations? What should I pay attention to?
I wouldn´t suggest converters over 1,4x. Also the converter should be the best you can afford because if you buy a cheap one it totally kills your lens quality (my first converter was kenko 2x, a piece of crap i must say). Next thing is the lens, i wish i had a fix lens, something like canon 300mm f4 or so. Because if i use the converter with my 100-400mm lens the wides aperture i can get is f8 and the background i get with it is very frustrating, also with f8 i get slower shutter speed and then have to push the iso value but as i am using canon 450d the iso 400 is already so noisy. So i suggest a fix lens with f4, and a 1,4x converter will give you the best performance and quality.
Thanks. Will keep that in mind while making my choice and eventually a purchase. I've got a Nikon 70-300 mm lens, and have recently come across an interesting looking 2x converter. But if you say over 1.4x is too much, I'll bear that in mind. And yes, high ISO noise can be a problem. I've got a Nikon D80, so I know how the noise can hurt...
must be he didn't feel any evil aura around you
